Facebook Connect

The following information will help you to understand how we use Facebook Connect to sign up for an account, link an existing Armor Games account to your Facebook account, unlink your Facebook account from your Armor Games account and other Facebook related assistance.

New Account Sign Up using Facebook

The following steps will help walk you through the process of setting up your Facebook account ID and password to be used to log into Armor Games.  Important Note, when using this feature, all authentication steps are completed on Facebook's end. So if there is a problem with your Facebook ID/Password you will need to contact the Facebook Support team for assistance.

Step One

If you are not already logged into the site, at the top of our site you will see a button that will allow you to Login using Facebook.  Go ahead and click on the button.

Step Two

A new window will open up to share what information that the Facebook Connect app will have access to.

If you do not see this window, please disable your popup blockers or another browser extension that you may have installed. If you do not have any browser extensions and you still do not see this window, go ahead and press Control + F5 to refresh the browser and try step one again.

Step Three

In this step, you will be authenticating your Facebook account by logging into Facebook.  Please go ahead and enter your email or phone number and your Facebook password.

Step Four

Once Facebook has authenticated your account you will be once more prompted about what information the App will have access to. Go ahead and click on Continue.

Important Note:  If you disable your email address, our staff and the site features will be unable to contact you by email so you will have to manually enter this information in your Armor Games Profile.

Step Five

If you have an Armor Games Account already and would like to link the account to your Facebook login, please enter the Armor Games Username and Password that you use to log into the site and click on the Login Button. Otherwise, click on the I don't have an account button and see the next step for more information about setting up an account.

Step Five - I don't have an Armor Games account

If you would like a different account name that is separated from your Facebook Account details, this is the step that you'll change the name as seen in the screen capture.

Important Notes:

• By default, the Username will be linked to your Facebook profile. So if you do not want to use your Facebook details, we highly recommend that you make sure to update the Player Name (or Username) in this step before you move forward.
• An email will be sent to the email address linked to your Facebook account.  This welcome email will include your Armor Games Username, and some instructions for setting up a password in case you would like to sign into ArmorGames.com directly instead us using Facebook.  This is something that we suggest you consider doing just in case you ever lose access to your Facebook account.
  

Step Six

Congratulations you have completed the new account Signup! You should now see your Armor Games username at the top of the page.

Want to log into your account without the need to use Facebook?

As the email that was sent to you when you first signed up, you can set up a password that will allow you to log into the login page without the need to click on the Facebook Login button.

Step One

Step Two

Please enter the Username or email address for the account.

Username - You were prompted to enter an Username when you signed up for the account.

Email - You'll need to enter the email address that is/was linked to your Facebook account at the time that you first signed up.

Step Three

You'll be prompted to enter a new password twice and then you'll want to click the Update Password button.

How do I manage my connection between Facebook and Armor Games?

From Facebook

You can look up all of the apps that you have connected to your Facebook account by accessing the Facebook App page.

From this page, you'll see Armor Games. As you mouse over the icon you will see two options.  A pencil (edit settings) and an X (remove).  If you ever need to contact us, you can click on the Edit Settings button and scroll down to the bottom of the newly opened window you will see your Armor Games ID.

To disable the account connecition you'll want to click on the remove button.  If at a later time you want to reenable the connection to allow you to log into an account with Facebook, just follow the New Account Sign Up steps above. You may end up skipping some steps as most of the leg work was already completed before.
